Minimum Age Requirement

Entrance Requirements — Years 1 & 2 at PWC
The Pearson HND entry requirement is 50% — significantly lower than the 70% required for UOL programmes. This makes the Pearson pathway accessible to a wider range of students.

Minimum overall score of 50% at Year XII (12th standard) from any recognised Indian board — HSC Maharashtra, CBSE, ISC, or other national boards.

Successful completion of the Pearson HND (Level 4 & 5) at PWC is the primary requirement for Year 3 UK admission. Entry to the UK university is subject to the respective university's own entry criteria and available places. PWC will support and guide students through the Year 3 UK application process.

Key Points Before You Apply
The entry requirement for Pearson HND is 50% — lower than the 70% required for UOL (LSE and Royal Holloway) programmes. This makes the Pearson pathway accessible to students who may not meet UOL entry criteria.
Year 3 in the UK — Students must apply separately to the UK university for Year 3. PWC will guide you through this process. UK university entry is subject to the university's own criteria and available places.
UK Student Visa required for Year 3. Students travelling to the UK for their Top-Up Degree will need to apply for a UK Student Visa. Start the process early — PWC will advise on timing and requirements.
No credit transfer to Indian universities. Credits from the Pearson HND programme are not transferable to Indian universities. If a student discontinues mid-programme, those credits cannot be used for admission elsewhere in India.
The YCMOU dual degree is available for Pearson HND students at PWC — free of cost — ensuring eligibility for postgraduate admissions at all Indian universities (see below).
Passport is strongly recommended (rather than Aadhaar) as your identity document, since you will need a valid passport to travel to the UK for Year 3.

UGC-Recognised Indian Degree — Free of Cost
Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU)
All Pearson HND students at Podar World College can simultaneously pursue a UGC-recognised undergraduate degree from YCMOU — completely free of cost. This ensures that graduates who remain in India hold a qualification recognised by every Indian university for postgraduate admissions and are eligible for government employment in India.

Eligibility is subject to YCMOU and UGC criteria on a case-to-case basis.
